The CKMR offers a wide variety of programs for all members. Our junior programs are offered to those between the ages of 8 and 16 yrs old, and our adult programs for those 17+. They are designed to foster good sportsmanship while learning about the Kiger. Program information packages are included in all membership booklets. The Points Of Merit program is designed to put you and your Kiger to the test. It consists of several levels which require a minimum of points to be earned for each level. It challenges both Kiger and owner in many unique ways. It is the prerequisite for the Award of Excellence program. |

The Award Of Excellence is the highest award offered in the Kiger world and stands alone as the platform for the top horses in the breed. This honor is bestowed upon those Kigers & their owners who possess the strength and commitment required to achieve such a high level of excellence. |

The Junior Handlers program has been designed to foster a good sense of horsemanship and show etiquette as well as bringing junior members together from across North America. Participation in this program will help to prepare today’s youth for the experiences of tomorrow. |

Executive Breeders Award |
|
This award is presented to those breeders who have consistently produced Kiger foals that both meet the ideal conformation and possess a good mind, willing attitude and a capacity to excel in one or more disciplines. The breeders cup represents a level of excellence in the Kiger world. |

Driving Invitational |
|
This program has been designed for those Kiger owners who choose to drive their Kiger. It offers several different levels of challenge so as to appeal to both the serious competitor as well as the pet owner. Driving classes can include both cross country and obstacle courses as well as timed courses. |
|
The junior Kigers club is open to all junior members regardless of horse ownership. It is designed to educate today’s youth about the history and uniqueness of the Kiger breed while fostering new friendships for both individuals and their families. |
