Canadian Kiger Mustang RegistryProgramsText Box: The Canadian Kiger Mustang Registry offers five unique programs for you and your Kiger. These programs were designed to demonstrate the Kiger’s versatility and unique qualities as well as support the growth of the Kiger breed. Points Of Merit The Points Of Merit Program is designed to put you and your Kiger to the test. It consists of several levels which require the Kiger and their owner to achieve a minimum number of points in five levels for each category. It’s challenges are designed to foster and develop both the owner’s and their Kiger’s abilities. The “Points Of Merit” program is the prerequisite to the “Award Of Excellence.” Award of Excellence The Award Of Excellence is the highest award offered in the Kiger world and stands alone as the platform for the top horses in the breed. This honour is bestowed upon those Kigers and their owners who possess the strength and commitment required to achieve such a high level of excellence. Stallion Supreme The Stallion Supreme program is open to all CKMR registered purebred Kiger stallions who have first completed the Points of Merit and Award of Excellence programs. The stallion must then meet a number of criteria as a breeding stallion to earn this distinguished standing. Only after this has been accomplished will the stallion be recorded as “Supreme.” Best of Get The Best of Get Program is designed to recognize and promote those mares which consistently produce top quality offspring. These mares, bred to a number of different purebred Kiger stallions and consistently producing a superior foal each time will be recorded as such with the Canadian Kiger Mustang Registry. Top Foal Award The top foal award is granted to those purebred Kiger foals between the ages of one and three who have successfully completed a number of challenges. These foals will then hold a top designation and will automatically be nominated for the “Points of Merit”, “Award of Excellence” and “Best of Get” programs.
