The Canadian Kiger Mustang Registry was established in 2003 to promote and protect the Kiger breed through responsible breeding practices and parent verified DNA.

 

     Our goal is to maintain the original style and type established by the Bureau of Land Management. By selectively breeding the best examples of the Kiger, we hope to ensure the original intentions and goals set out by the founders.

 

     Only through these methods can we ensure the original breed description as well as its true type and form. The Kiger’s unique traits are part of what makes this breed so special and by ensuring that these traits are maintained, the CKMR hopes to preserve the Kiger for many generations to come.
